Help! The lower button bar disappeared. How can I edit pages again?

This is not a bug, it's a feature . The lower bar is hidden, if you are not logged in and have not enough privileges to edit the current page. To re-login append ?do=login to the URL of the current page and hit enter.

Isn't it a departure from wiki philosophy to hide such essential features like „Show pagesource“ and „Old revisions“ from unprivileged users?

It probably is. On the other hand, DokuWiki is widely used as a simple content management system where only a closed group of privileged users will edit pages anyway.

Isn't it a departure from wiki philosophy to introduce a hierarchical navigation?

It probably is. But a hierarchical structure of the site is by far superior to an unstructured wiki. Your users are better able to create a mental map of your site, to know where they are and how to browse your site.

The so called optimized version for small-screen mobile devices doesn't work on my phone. Shouldn't it be compatible to WAP?

Look, it just makes no fun to view and edit wiki pages over WAP. To be useful, your phone should have at least a screen resolution of 320×480 pixels and be able to display styled XHTML pages.

I don't have an iPhone. Can I nevertheless see how DokuTouch looks on an iPhone?

Sure. Install the User Agent Switcher add-on for Firefox or activate the developer menu in Safari. This allows you to change the user agent to iPhone OS 3.0. Resize your window to 480 pixels to get a view almost equal to that on a iPhone.

I like this template but would like it in another color scheme. Can I have it?

No.

I like this template but we need a 4th navigation level. Can we have it?

No.

I like this template but would like the sidebar on the right side. Can I have it?

Depends on your CSS skills.

I like this template but a certain browser doesn't display it quite right.

Test it with a standards compliant browser again. If the problem persists, send me a suggestion on how to fix the problem.

I like the navigation features of this template. Can I have it in another template.

Depends on your programming skills. It's not to hard. Just copy over site.php and page.php and the first few lines of main.php and adjust the functions and variables. For example $conf['title'] becomes $site->title. That's all.

May I reuse design elements to create a Wordpress theme?

Yes you may. DokuTouch is licensed under GNU GPL 2.
